Broken Crown Records was born from a simple realisation, the music industry is evolving faster than ever before, yet many of its structures remain rooted in the past.

Broken Crown Records was founded by James Drew, a musician, marketer, and creative strategist with a deep-rooted understanding of both the artistry and business of modern music.

With over 15 years of experience as a musician, James has spent the majority of his life immersed in sound, writing, experimenting, and developing projects that go beyond just music, focusing instead on identity, emotion, and storytelling. This foundation has shaped his belief that the most powerful music isn’t just heard, it’s felt, and more importantly, remembered.

Alongside his creative journey, James has built over a decade of experience in digital marketing, working across multiple industries to grow brands, build audiences, and create content that cuts through in an increasingly saturated world. From social media strategy and content creation to brand positioning and audience growth, his work has always centred around one thing: attention.
